ABOUT STEPHEN MINISTRY
CARE RECEIVERS
Care Receivers are people from our church or community who receive Stephen Minister's care. Stephen Ministers usually meet with their care receivers once a week for about an hour for as long as the receiver will benefit from the care.
STEPHEN MINISTER
Our caregivers have engaged in 50 hours of training in Christian caregiving, including general topics such as listening, feelings, boundaries, assertiveness, and using Christian resources in caregiving. We currently have more than 20 active Stephen Ministers.
STEPHEN LEADERS
Stephen Leaders are the ones who oversee & direct our Stephen Ministry. We recruit, select, train, organize and supervise our Stephen Ministers, identify people in need of care & match them with a Stephen Minister.
