Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday

What is Maundy Thursday?

In case you are unfamiliar with the word ‘maundy,’ it comes from a Latin word ‘mandatus’ that means commandment. On Thursday of the Holy Week, Jesus gave the disciples a new commandment to love one another as He loved them (John 13:34). For hundreds of years, Christians have remembered Christ’s actions on that Thursday, giving this command to his followers, His last meal with them (Communion) and his washing their feet.

Join us tonight at 7 pm for our remembrance service.
