Who Is This?
The Apostle Paul wrote: “I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me– that Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and He was raised from the dead on the third day, as the Scriptures said. He was seen by Peter and then by the twelve apostles. After that, He was seen by more than 500 of His followers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died.” As Christians, our entire belief revolves around the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and we have good reason to believe it. Three of my favourite writers all had a legal background, and none of them had a religious background. For various reasons, they each began to investigate the gospels independently when they were in their late 20s or in their 30s.
Charles Finney, Lee Strobel and James Warner Wallace each came to the conclusion that there is enough evidence to prove in a court of law that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead. This conclusion caused all three of them to become Christians and to grow strong in their faith. We all have good reason to believe that Jesus conquered sin and death and rose victorious.
